In Betrange staat nóg een kasteel: Schloss Schauwenburg. Nadat daar in 1576 brand was geweest, wilde de eigenaresse, Madeleine de Schauwenburg, dat de inwoners van Bertrange het herenhuis, de ringmuur, de stallen en de personeelsverblijven herstelden. Maar de inwoners protesteerde tegen die eisen. Ze waren tenslotte wel verplicht om te werken voor het herenhuis, maar niet voor de overige gebouwen.
Later is het kasteel nog bewoond geweest door onder anderen de Franse schilder Dominique Rupied, staalmagnaat François Majerus en Joseph-Nestor Vincent. In 1888 kwam het slot in bezit van de familie Muller en vervolgens, tot aan de Tweede Wereldoorlog, van de familie Schuman.
There is another castle in Bertrange: Schloss Schauwenburg. When, in 1576, there had been a fire there, the owner, Madeleine de Schauwenburg, wanted the inhabitants of Bertrange to renovate the mansion, the circular wall, the stables and the staff quarters. But the inhabitants protested against those demands. They were obliged to work for the mansion, but not for the other buildings.
In later centuries the French painter Dominique Rupied, steel producer François Majerus and Joseph-Nestor Vincent lived in the castle. In 1888 it came into the posession of the Muller family and after that, until World War II, it belonged to the Schuman family.
