In het kasteel van Clervaux kan de permanente foto-expositie "The Family of Man" bewonderd worden.
Hij is in 1955 samengesteld door de Luxemburgse fotograaf Edward John (Jean) Steichen, geboren op 27 maart 1879 in Alzingen, gestorven op 25 maart 1973 in West-Redding, Connetticut, VS. Toen hij 18 maanden oud was, emigreerden zijn ouders naar Amerika.
Hij werkte van 1947 tot 1962 vooral als mode- en portretfotograaf. Daarna was hij directeur van de foto-afdeling van het National Museum of Modern Art in New York.
De tentoonstelling werd in 1960 aan de Luxemburgse staat geschonken. Hij is gerestaureerd en sinds 1994 in het kasteel van Clervaux ondergebracht.
Hij bestaat uit 502 foto's van 273 fotografen. In 2003 werd hij door Unesco tot "Memory of the World" verklaard.

He worked as a photograper, mostly fashion and portrait. Besides that, he was director of the photographical department of the National Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The exhibition was donated to the Luxembourgish state in 1960. It was restored en has found a home in Clervaux castle since 1994. It is a composition of 502 photos by 273 photographers. In 2003 it was listed as "Memory of the World" by Unesco.
