In 1680 nam de firma Thurn und Taxis - de nieuwe naam van het familiebedrijf van Del Tasso - het traject Brussel - Attert - Luxemburg - Trier in bedrijf. Bij de brug over de Eisch in Steinfort werd een postkoetsstation met bijbehorende paardenstallen gebouwd, dat van 1734 tot 1828 in gebruik was.
Toen in 1967 de doorgaande weg naar Arlon (B) verbreed werd, is het postkoetsstation afgebroken. Maar de stallen zijn bewaard gebleven en bieden tegenwoordig onderdak aan een bedrijf in vloer- en wandtegels.
In 1680 the company Thurn und Taxis - the new name of the family business of Del Tasso - opened a new route Brussels - Attert - Luxembourg - Trier. Near the bridge over the Eisch in Steinfort, a stagecoach station was built, complete with stables for the horses. It has been used from 1734 till 1828.
When the road to Arlon (B) was broadened in 1967, the station was demolished. But the stables were spared. Nowadays they house a shop in dutch tiles and floortiles.
